Prague City Hall's attitude to prostitution

The diploma thesis The City Hall of Prague attitude towards prostitution is based on the constructivist paradigm and uses feminist theories. It examines, by means of a critical reading, the attitudes of the City Hall of Prague towards prostitution and its development in course of time. The period of investigation was determined by the beginning of municipal intention to introduce a regulatory bill. For this purpose all the relevant press releases from the period 2003 and 2015 were gathered. These documents are concerned with prostitution and they are accessible on press service section of www.praha.eu portal used by the City Hall as a medium for press releases. A theory part introduces basic concepts and trends in feminist debates concerning prostitution. The core of the thesis consists of four categories derived from the source data.These are: definition of prostitution, prostitution as a problem, needs and goals, and support and repression. The categories are treated critically from the viewpoint of feminist theories. The author follows not only the topics concerning prostitution, but also the way they are presented. Process analysis in the public sector

Thesis focuses on the theory and practice of process analysis. The main objective of this paper is describing the theory of process analysis and its application at the Prague City Hall, particularly processes related to procurement. Thesis describes these processes and suggests their improvements. Thesis will also design the processes that relate to the procurement of City Hall. The work is divided into two parts. The first part deals with a purely theoretical basis of process analysis and the second (analytical) part is focused on the specific application of this knowledge on process analysis of the Prague City Hall, specifically on the processes related to procurement.
The Municipality of the capital city Prague

The diploma thesis deals with the statute of the Municipality of the capital city Prague, which is the central authority of public administration and municipal government in the city. The city of Prague is not only province, but also corporate town and the largest domicile in the Czech Republic. The thesis analyses legal boundaries of the capital city in relevant acts (Municipalities Act, Capital City Act) and depicts the historical development of its administration between 1918 - 2009. The authorities of the Municipality of capital city Prague, its inner structure, competencies and major task in the areas of public administration and municipal government are also described within the thesis. It summarizes the relationships between the Municipality and local council (political leadership of the city), central offices of the public administration and subordinate units. In the end, it also sums the internal legal norms (financial management, requirements on the officers etc.) up and provides the evaluation of the contemporary state.
